Havas Worldwide announces leadership changes in Canada

(MONTREAL — AUGUST 12, 2015) — Havas Worldwide announced today the promotion of Helen Pak, Chief Creative Officer and President of Havas Worldwide Canada, to the role of CEO. Pak will retain her responsibilities as Chief Creative Officer in addition to now overseeing the Havas Worldwide group across Canada — including offices in Toronto and Montreal as well as 2015 acquisition, Plastic Mobile.

Before joining Havas, Pak was Global Creative Strategist at Facebook Canada. At Facebook, Helen led the organization’s Creative Shop in Canada, working with the world’s largest brands across all verticals. She also has more than 15 years of experience working at multiple top-­tier   agencies in Canada, including as Executive Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada, and at TAXI, Ogilvy, JWT, and StrawberryFrog in Amsterdam.

Ann Bouthillier, who joined Havas almost 25 years ago and served as CEO of Havas Worldwide Canada since December, has decided to leave the   agency to pursue other interests.

“Ann’s strong leadership has guided Havas WW Canada to be where it is today: nationally integrated, a strong creative partner for all our clients’   brands, and poised for even greater growth ahead,” Pak said. “I couldn’t be more excited to be taking over the agency at this moment of rapid   evolution and growth.”    

“Canada is a high-priority market for Havas and we’ve already seen the payoff from our increased  focusing the last year,” said Havas Creative   Group and Havas Worldwide CEO Andrew Benett. “Bringing in Plastic Mobile” the mobile and m­‐commerce specialty agency acquired by Havas   last February “has further broadened the integrated offering we’ve established within Havas Village Canada, which also includes cutting-edge digital expertise, creative and media.”

Bouthillier has held a leadership role at PALM+ Havas and Havas Worldwide Canada for the last seven years. She was instrumental in relaunching the newly integrated entity at a national level last December and will remainin a consultative role to ensure a seamless transition.

“I have had extraordinary opportunities to grow the agency at a national level,” Bouthillier said. “I’m very proud of the strong team that I built,   which has delivered integrated marketing solutions for our Canadian clients. After two and a half decades with Havas and, in recent years, many   successes in integrating the organization into one agency, I’m now ready for my next challenge.”
